“Faith and creativity go hand and hand”.
Both are conducive to bringing the unseen, into the seen. That’s what fueled Montreal jewelry designer to present at New York Fashion Week.
Designer: Dihlia Depeine has the kind of faith that moves mountains, and is exemplary with her leap to New York Fashion Week. Her drive and tenacity stem from her Christian beliefs and backed by the Pastors of local church PLQ. What amazed me the most, was her gofundme that financed her trip.
She blended right into the tough #NYFW crowd.
Dihlia’s fashion line consists of bodychains, and recently, her new men’s line filled with beautiful arm-candy beads, is perfect for today’s modern man.
We met up with Dihlia in New York: Tiffany Farney of Andrew Joseph PR and Slayedit New York’s Guest Blogger was present at the show and remains a supporter of Dihlia’s brand.
Her leap of faith should be an example to local Montreal designers to do likewise. While Montreal is great for fashion production, one can’t help but to notice it’s limitation in the fashion industry which means that more and more Montreal designers are seeking opportunities on US soil.
Dihlia is the greatest example of what faith and creativity can do!
