Celebrating Montreal Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Influencers: Samantha Kris

I am so excited to introduce today’s feature, she is someone who inspires me daily and motivates me to step out of my comfort zone. In my eyes, there is nothing she can’t do once she puts her mind to it. If you know her personally, you would know exactly why I am in absolute awe of her.  So, time for you to get to know her!

Here’s the amazing Samantha Kris!

Petrona: What is your official title?

Samantha: Best-selling author, TEDx speaker, host of The Catalyst show, and Head of Marketing for Goalcast.

Petrona: What is your greatest passion? Did that fuel you to get started?

Samantha: My greatest passion is helping people take inspired action by anchoring their goals to their deeply rooted values. Once I began setting goals intentionally, I learned to unlock a new level of success. Codifying my process helped me understand how it could be repeated as passed on to others. My approach is called the REAL goal™ method and it definitely fuelled my entrepreneurial career as it was the foundation for my book, my TEDx talk, and my coaching practice.

Petrona: What is the message you wish to convey to the world? In other words, how do you want to be remembered?

Samantha: Opportunity shows up when you do. I want to be remembered as someone who consistently showed up, both for myself and for others; as someone who thinks big, acts big, and supports others as they step into their greatness.

Petrona: Describe your business, service, or mission.

Samantha: In a time where many people have turned to entrepreneurship, I’ve decided to rebel a little bit. I’ve scaled back on my coaching business to make space for my dream job. Goalcast is the world’s leading empowering media company and its vision is for humanity to reach its full potential… which I’m all about. Though I’m working with fewer clients, I am actively doing speaking engagements, facilitating my private mastermind group, and hosting my podcast so there are lots of opportunities to connect with me.

Petrona: What is your biggest quirk?

Samantha: My biggest quirk, completely unrelated to business, is that I sing songs from the Lion King soundtrack daily. I don’t know what it is! Hakuna Matata has basically become my daily mantra and my poor dogs have heard it every waking morning for the last several years.

Petrona: What has been your biggest challenge in business?

Samantha: I’m somewhat of a recovering perfectionist. While I’m a lot better now than I was, I still catch myself waiting for things to be “just right” before moving forward. I’m calculated, I like to weigh my options and I like to have a plan before taking action. But the reality is life rarely goes according to plan, so I’m learning to lean into my intuition more and iterate as I go.

Petrona: What’s next for your business or for you?

Samantha: I’ve just started an incredibly exciting new chapter. I’ve been trusted to help take Goalcast to the next level and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. We have a lot of great things in the works so be sure to follow along to see it all unfold.

Petrona: What advice would you give to someone reading this?

Samantha: When you finish reading this article in about 30 seconds, do something your future self will thank you for. Stop hoping, stop wishing, start moving toward the life you so deserve.

Petrona: What is your favorite quote?

“Success is when the depths of your courage meets the height of your dreams.”
