Celebrating Montreal Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Influencers: Melanie Jade Boulerice

Today’s feature needs no introduction. You have seen her on local news, you have heard her on the radio, and you should be following her on Instagram. Melanie Jade Boulerice is a nurse extraordinaire, and a Nurse Entrepreneur.

When the pandemic first hit in March, I remember her giving herself so selflessly, always answering the numerous questions I had, and helping my family and friends too.

So time to get to know her, what she’s about, and what she stands for.

Petrona: What is your official title?

Melanie: Melanie Jade Boulerice, owner, and founder of Nomadic Nurse Agency

Petrona: What is your greatest passion? Did that fuel you to get started?

Melanie: Breaking standards alongside helping others. Failure was the best lesson of my life and it has taught me to grow on several levels.

Petrona: What is the message you wish to convey to the world? In other words, how do you want to be remembered?

Melanie: I want to be remembered as the nurse who broke the standards, who was the voice for other nurses to do more than what they are taught. To see more to their profession and that there are so many ways of helping people.

Petrona: Describe your business, service, or mission.

Melanie: Nomadic Nurse Agency is a mobile nursing agency where we provide nursing services from the comforts of your own location, whether it be at home, your office, or even your event. We offer services such as blood tests, COVID-19 swab tests, specimen tests, vaccines/injections, intravenous infusions, and more. Our mission is to increase the accessibility of health care services at an affordable price.

Petrona: What is your biggest quirk?

Melanie: I have many quirks! But one thing I am is an adrenaline junkie. I am someone that moves as fast as I can with efficiency.

Petrona: What has been your biggest challenge in business?

Melanie: The biggest challenge that my business has had is fast growth. I did not see this coming especially in the first year and especially during COVID-19. Our business model had to be revised several times to meet the demand but I am blessed to have such an amazing team.

Petrona: What’s next for your business or for you?

Melanie: Expanding in the pharmacy industry and to east & north of Montreal for mobile services. We are already in the West side of Montreal and its outskirts along with Laval, and central Montreal. Since the demand is growing, the team is growing and the business is growing.

Petrona: What advice would give to someone reading this?

Melanie: Take your time with putting your passion into a business and don’t be afraid to launch. You’ll never be 100% ready but if your passion speaks for itself, the business will roll.

Petrona: What’s your favorite quote?

Melanie: Your passion is power, your mindset brings direction, your heart leads the way. (Melanie Jade Boulerice)
