Celebrating Montreal Businesses, Entrepreneurs and Influencers: Florence-Elyse Ouellette

Florence-Elyse started her social media management company right before the pandemic in March. Now, into the second wave, life still continues in the world of content creation and managing influencers. However, with fewer events, and small businesses cutting back on budgeting, she has had to be creative. Is content creation sustainable in the new 2020?

Here’s Florence’s story.

Petrona: What is your official title?

Florence-Elyse: I am the founder of Dopamine Media.

Petrona: What is your greatest passion? Did that fuel you to get started?

Florence-Elyse: Wake up every morning, make my coffee, and sit down at my desk to work. I love my job! I love creating content, pictures, and videos for my clients so that they can shine. My best job ever!

Petrona: What is the message you wish to convey to the world? In other words, how do you want to be remembered?

Florence-Elyse: We should never take things for granted. Sometimes it takes a big turn of events (like a pandemic) to shake people. We should always be our 2020-self and make things happen by thinking out of the box.

Petrona: Describe your business, service, or mission.

Florence-Elyse: We offer business web strategies for their social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. We offer a one-stop strategy including a photograph for the creation of their content and products, we build websites and we do Facebook publicity. We also accompany and manage influencers. I (Florence-Elyse) studied law and I am very familiar with contracts and content creation, that’s why I decided to also add this service to my business. Influencers are also part of the Web marketing environment, it was a natural fit.

Petrona: What is your biggest quirk?

Florence-Elyse: I crave and eat cucumbers every day. It’s like a drug. Cucumber is my favorite food. I stack them at least twice a week in my fridge. It’s weird, I know, lol.

Petrona: What has been your biggest challenge in business?

Florence-Elyse: My business started a little bit before the pandemic. I now have to be able to take a step behind, analyze, and see how I can move forward with my current clientele, and grow my business.

Petrona: What’s next for your business or for you?

Florence-Elyse: To go after larger accounts, and since I love learning new things, I’m thinking about getting trained on SEO. Not to be SEO-savvy but to be able to know what others are talking about when we talk websites.

Petrona: What advice would give to someone reading this?

Florence-Elyse: We should be friends at this point!

Petrona: What is your favorite quote?

« Sois l’héroïne de ta propre histoire »

“Be the hero of your own story”
