MONTREAL, March 21, 2017-For its 7th edition, Fashion Preview, reaffirms its vision in Montreal’s fashion ecosystem by uniting Quebec’s most talented designers under one roof, where they can showcase their creativity and originality.
As it does every year, Fashion Preview attracts an audience of buyers, media and fashion enthusiasts.
On the program for this 7th edition, alternative and bold ready-to-wear, the theme will reflect of the Nordic climate of Quebec. Faithful to its promise to promote the up and coming Montreal Designers, Fashion Preview will promote the work of the most promising students of: Cégep Marie-Victorin Fashion School (in collaboration with Vestechpro), ESG-UQAM‘s Graduate School of Fashion and LaSalle Collège. Also for the first time, they will welcome The Compétences-2000 Training Center, with its Customized Fashion Program, which allows students to develop the skills needed to integrate into the labor market and the garment industry.
Because fashion can make a considerable difference in the daily lives of many, and because fashion is an integral part of our common reality, Fashion Preview is honored to promote, the nonprofit organization INpatient, INstyle. Inpatient, INstyle, will be presenting innovative hospital gowns specifically designed to brighten up the stay of young patients at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (MUHC) with their creativity and innovation.
And on the 5th of April?
This season, Fashion Preview is proud to propose to the industry a new initiative of commercial collaboration which aims to propel the creators of fashion in Montreal with national buyers of renown. In partnership with Export Québec, Fashion Preview organizes a multi-brand showroom which will take place on Wednesday 5 April from 11 am to 2 pm at the Loft 101, in the heart of Chabanel, Montréal’s Cité de la Mode.
For the occasion, we will be hosting a delegation of 25 buyers from several provinces in Canada to allow ready-to-wear fashion designers and accessories at the South Showroom Fashion Preview to establish exclusive business relationships in national markets, presenting Their collections Fall / Winter 2017-2018.
In addition to counting on the confidence of the creators participating in the 7th edition of Fashion Preview, this new business initiative has opened up to other local fashion designers, including Atelier SYP, Captve Jewelery, Holdur, Héricher, Mercedes Morin and Philo and Collections beyond Quebec.
