It is traditional to celebrate Black History Month in Montreal, with the unveiling of the tribute calendar featuring twelve laureates who have contributed to the advancement of the black community. Nominations open in the latter part of each year, with a public call.
Being a laurate is one of the most prestigious titles that can be given to those who wave the tapestry of the community, so without further due, let me present this year’s laurates.
