ANKÒ (creole vernacular), will feature acclaimed Haitian Artists: Émeline Michel et Beethova Obas, under the musical direction of Yves de Lima, local Montreal Businessman & Philanthropolist.
The benefit concert is in support of the House of Haiti’s new building. With 2 million already raised, 1.5 million is the new objective.
As the longest standing and widest ranging organization in North-Montreal, The House of Haiti is a community organization that offers programs to over 6000 Haitian residents.
With the increasing demands of its services and programs, the time has come for them to enlargen their facilities to accomodate the growing Community.
The event promises to be star-studded, with Émeline Michel arriving from the United States, and Beethova Obas from Belique.
In addition, ANKÒ, will feature some of the hottest local Haitian Fashion Designers by ways of Live Models.
The acclaimed Chef Leeds will also be present, offering a full gastronomic experience.
Lastly, there will also be a silent auction, in which yours truely will offer up art from her private collection.
I believe this event creates a precedence in the Afro-Canadian Community. I also believe that together, we are strong.
Tickets are available for $125.00 and $150 in person or online (tax receipts will be made available) at Maison d’Haïti, 8833 boulevard St-Michel, or
